FreedomWorks Foundation Statement in Response to EPA Proposal to Reform Clean Air Act Regulations

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposal to mandate transparent cost-benefit analyses for significant regulations promulgated under the Clean Air Act, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks Foundation President, commented:

“Too often, regulatory agencies act without due regard to the impact their proposals will have on the American people. It is long past time that they transparently and honestly consider the costs and benefits of regulation and we are thankful that the EPA is proposing this reform today.

“In May, almost 1,800 FreedomWorks activists submitted comments through our Regulatory Action Center (RAC) urging the EPA to disclose its scientific methods and pushed for more transparency. This is another step in RAC’s quest, and our activists’ quest, to hold unelected bureaucrats accountable. FreedomWorks Foundation is proud to support this reform and the others that will hopefully follow in its footsteps.”
