Tangled in the “Grapevine”: Obama caught campaigning on misinformation?

President Obama stopped in Annandale, Virginia this week to hold a town hall meeting with students and staff at Northern Virginia Community College.  He made some particularly interesting remarks in an attempt to connect the coal industry to the disease asthma.  In an attempt to defend greater regulation of coal based electric power production, the president claimed that coal emissions can cause the disease asthma.  This is simply not true as the actual cause of the disease is unknown. 

FreedomWorks noticed the irregularity in the argument connecting the disease asthma to the EPA’s push for increased unilateral regulation of emissions under the Clean Air Act in Obama and the Bureaucrazies, Part 1: the EPA.
