Tell Speaker Johnson to Include Rep. David Schweikert on the Debt Commission

This bipartisan bill proposes the creation of a 16-member commission tasked with balancing the budget and stabilizing our debt within a mere ten years. What’s more, it ensures bipartisan representation, requiring a simple majority with members from both parties to endorse recommendations, thereby guaranteeing credibility.

In order for the commission to succeed however, we need it to be set up for success with brightest minds in Congress, which is why Speaker Johnson should put Rep. David Schweikert (R-AZ) on the commission. Rep. Schweiker is ready to have an honest conversation about the necessity of reforming and preserving these programs.
