Today, Federal Communications Commission Chairman (FCC) Ajit Pai testified before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation. Chairman Pai unsurprisingly faced questioning from Senate Democrats over the Restoring Internet Freedom Order, Pai’s flagship rulemaking which rolled-back onerous public utility-style regulations of internet service providers imposed by the previous administration.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - FreedomWorks is disappointed in Rep. Mike Coffman’s (R-Colo.) decision to join forces with the far-left on Title II regulation of the internet. A repeal of the Restoring internet Freedom Order will reinstate a harmful, heavy-handed regulatory framework for the internet that will stifle innovation and reduce consumer choice.
WASHINGTON, D.C. - In the wake of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai’s proposal to subject the Sinclair/Tribune deal to additional legal review, Freedomworks Director of Policy, Patrick Hedger, commented:
WASHINGTON, DC - Amidst the series of recent proposed media mergers, FreedomWorks encourages the FCC to approve the T-Mobile/Sprint merger. FreedomWorks has continuously advocated non-intervention on similar mergers.
Senate Democrats could seek to reverse the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) “Restoring Internet Freedom Order” by Monday. While their attempt has no chance of passing the Republican-controlled House or avoiding a President Trump veto, the move panders to severely misinformed activists.
FreedomWorks, joined by the Pelican Institute, will participate in a tele-press conference to discuss net neutrality and Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) on March 16.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wants to trim your TV bill by going green. A recent rulemaking would legalize TV service providers sending mandatory updates by email.
