He serves in the House of Representatives for Ohio’s 4th Congressional District, located in the north-central and western portions of the state. His district is the eastern neighbor of Ohio’s 8th Congressional District, formerly held by ex-Speaker of the House John Boehner.
Last week, Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) announced that he would not seek re-election. His future had been an open question. He was essentially recruited to take the gavel of the chamber after Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) called it quits in October 2015.

Gosar represents Arizona’s 4th Congressional District, which encompasses a number of Phoenix suburbs, as well as most of the rural western portion of the state. Rep. Gosar was first elected to Congress in 2010, when he defeated Democratic incumbent, Ann Kirkpatrick.
Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Ala.) is FreedomWorks’ Member of the Month for July. This decision is based on Rep. Palmer’s unwavering dedication to fully repeal ObamaCare, and his consistently conservative voting record, maintaining a 92 percent lifetime score with us.
The heated discussion circulating around healthcare has recently moved to the Senate. As we saw in the House there is a definitive split between the establishment and other members regarding the full repeal and replacement of the entitlement program known as Obamacare.
FreedomWorks today echoed the position of the House Freedom Caucus on raising the debt ceiling and called on Congress to address federal spending and the budget deficit, which is projected to exceed $9.4 trillion over the next ten years.
Rep. Tom Garrett (R-Va.) is FreedomWorks’ Member of the Month for May 2017. As a new member of Congress, Rep. Garrett was named to the House Homeland Security, Foreign Affairs, and Education and the Workforce committees.
