25-30 thousand meet on Capitol Hill to protest health care
Earlier today, FreedomWorks joined 25-35 thousand Americans gathered at the Capitol building to protest Nancy Pelosi's (D-Cali.) proposed takeover of the American health care system. A mere two months after the historic 9/12 Taxpayer March, grassroots activists from across the country continued the fight to make their voices heard.
Ironically, the press conference was held at the same location that Speaker Pelosi announced her 1,990 page health care reform bill only a week before. This time, however, the event was open to the public and the crowd was made up of more than just hill staffers. Among others, FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe and Director of Campaigns Brendan Steinhauser joined radio personality Mark Levin, actor John Voight and several members of the House GOP in addressing the crowd.
After the event at the Capitol, we joined the protesters who crossed Independence Ave. and flooded into the House office buildings. With thousands upon thousands of people attempting to make their way into the three buildings, we had to wait outside for nearly two hours. Once inside, opponents of the proposed health care reform made clear to their Members of Congress their disdain for the bill.
In an attempt to intimidate the enormous crowd gathered outside of Speaker Pelosi's office, over a dozen Capitol police officers were brought in. That, however, did not prevent the hundred plus protesters in the hall from erupting with a "Kill the bill!" chant.
The press conference at the Capitol began at noon and when we left the House office buildings four hours later, there were still people waiting to get in. As was the case with the town hall meetings over the summer and the 9/12 March in the fall, the American people once again joined together to send a clear message to Washington lawmakers:
We don't want government-run health care.

The following Representatives from NH Voted for the bill that passed and want to shackle NH as well as American Citizens into health care tax slavery. The bill costs 1,000,000,000,000 and forces individuals to purchase health insurance. That is great news for insurance companies and pharma companies but not good for the individual. If you think health care is expensive now wait till we have this.

I just don't understand how a self-proclaimed (???) intelligent person like yourself would think that sitting back and doing nothing for this worsening health care crisis makes any sense. Who do you think is paying for all the uninsured people who show up at emergency rooms now? YOU ARE! Do you think it is just magically covered? With more people being uninsured and unable to access health care...there are your "Death Squads" as your simple minded Republican leaders so aptly stated. Seems to me that the government is already involved in health care (Hint..it is called Medicare/Medicaid). All the "commies" and "pinkos" who pushed for it in the past...did a pretty good job, wouldn't you say? Did I miss something in my history lessons...did the government collapse and I wasn't informed?

I am sitting here Saturday November 7th, watching the news unfold regarding this Pelosi Bill, The Communist Move to take over America as we knew it.
I am very very concerned that if this Bill somehow passes tonight that, as the communists, woops I mean the Democratic Leadership said, after meeting with the Head Communist Obama, This is a Historic Day. The Definitive Day that ALL Americans can kiss their Country Good Buy.

My guess is, that the people who are for health care reform and government take over, are the ones hoping for "something for nothing". With the unemployment rate higher than it's been since 1983, and the President extending unemployment benefits (I see help wanted signs everywhere, but no one applies because they are minimum wage jobs), spending "tax payers" money (that would mean the middle class who fall in a tax bracket of at least a 1/3 of our income taken off the top for taxes) like it grows on trees (I want one of those trees), and increasing our debt to a point that we have no way of ever getting out of debt, don't think they will have to pay for any of this in anyway. It will all be free or Obama himself will give up his income (haha) to support the programs he's forcing down out throats. Please don't cry when your taxes are so high that your take home pay won't pay for anything. Have you notice that not one bill that anyone is voting on has anything to do with the politicians themselves. They are all for the "better good" of America. They must not be part of America, because it doesn't effect them. I'll support government health care when I get the same insurance plan the federal government gets, at the cost that they pay for it.

But setting this aside, look at the elections, we the people are fed up, with the arrogance, that out goverment shows. They ignore not only the people they represent, they ignore the Constitution, they use every back door technique they can to sneak this through, but it isn't going to work, even it it does get passed, they will never be able to impliment it.

What did we get?

He has left our soldier's in harms way,and continues to do so
More unemployment.

Cabinet members, who do not pay their taxes.

Obama campagn promises:
1. No new taxes on people making UNDER 250K
2. Pork Barrel spending capped at 18 billion
3. Transparency for lobbying, special interests (which are already public record now) and commenting on bills 5 days BEFORE he signs them
4. Obama signed into law an executive order that prohibits presidential appointees from accepting gifts from lobbying organizations and restricts appointees’ ability to work on issues on which they recently lobbied while in the private sector.

The statements you're referring to were reported out of context by you're precious Fox News and Right wing radio.
If you listen to then ENTIRE STATEMENT and not just the sound byte he was saying the US is not ONLY a Christian nation, and our population has diverse religious beliefs. In fact the same 1st amendment right that protects other religions actually protects yours too.

If we're so bad in the eyes of the United Nations, why do they want the American people's money so much. You would think if we're "the great satan" we would be shunned by the rest of the world and be isolated. Our money would be the worst thing to do. We're the only country that I see on a continuous basis that has the most generous outpouring when it comes to a catastrophe. I personnelly do not think we owe apologies for things we have done. Probably at the time it was for the good. Did you ever stop to think of it that way. Things are different today, then just 20 yrs. ago. Things we did back then, we now realise we can't do them today. Well, I went back and looked it up, and I'll have to retract the approval rating statistics I presented. President Bush's approval rating when leaving office was at a 37%, after 8 yrs. I'm sure the war in Iraq had alot to do with that. But after his first 4 yrs., his approval rating was at 61%. President Obama hasn't even been in office 1 yr. and his approval rating, in some polls is above 50% and below in others, which I'm sure you liberals will always go with the higher. But still, not even 1 yr. and it's that low! So at least I'm conservative enough to correct my mistake, how about you liberals? Making the health care reform the big priority? If I remember correctly, when President Bush 1 was in office in 88-92, and James Carville, and the future President Clinton, was dogging him, their statement was "It's the economy stupid". Unemployment at 10.2% and going higher, 2 democrat governors replaced in Virgina and a New Jersy because the economy was the big issue on the people's minds. So please tell me, liberals, where should the priorities really be placed?

Still, you fail to answer the question that I listed above! Just slap a number down, before President Bush left office. He didn't leave office with an approval rating of 28% in ,08. He left the office in January ,09. That's what I mean about you liberal pukes, slapping down a lie and believing it. I at least corrected my earlier post. So why don't you just answer my question. Where should our prioities be. In a health care plan, that doesn't even take affect until 2014, or creating jobs? I think jobs are more important right now!

My answer is both, because they're intertwined along with many other factors. These issues are very complex, maybe if you can't keep more than one concept in your mind at one time you shouldn't be talking about politics, et al.
